One of the things I never knew I really wanted in life was a covered front porch. I love sitting out here, especially during a warm summer thunderstorm. When Tom the carpenter and I were figuring it out- he threw me a couple ideas that I wasn’t sure about, like recessing the stairs into the footprint and a pitch roof over them so you never got wet stepping onto the stairs. And I’m happy I listened to him.
Sometimes we need to trust those people we strategically have around us. If you have competent folks in your circle and they give you advice, consider it. Especially if they truly know you.
