I apologize for not posting last week. It was a struggle. Between the sadness and stress of beginning the shutdown at an old mom and pop store that I helped out at, and developing an ear infection, I was pretty much down for the count.
But, in the rest I remembered a few things. You have to listen to your body. If you feel like you need rest, take it. Otherwise by the time you crash hard, it takes a few days to restore. The concept of a sabbath day in religious context isn’t for God… it’s for us. Our body’s NEED rest. And it doesn’t need to look like a nap. Maybe rest is hiking. Or fishing. Taking a day to go kayaking. Whatever rest is for you, prioritize it.
