This morning I woke up and there was a text message from my ‘bonus daughter’. She had a pretty simple question, but it was the first thing I saw today. And regardless of the content, I loved seeing it.
When those we love reach out for any reason, it should remind us that there is a relationship there. Whatever level that relationship is, you should try to cultivate it. If you love your kids- tell them. Show them. If you love your friends, tell them. If you love your partner- tell them. Appreciate them. Don’t take them for granted.
